Dear Sir or Madam,

Our guide on the above tour, Selcuk Sebilcioglu, suggested that we send you our comments on the tour and it is my pleasure to take the opportunity to do so.

We both consider the tour to have been an outstanding success, primarily because of Selcuk's extensive knowledge of the country and his sense of humour. The other major reason for the tour's success for us, was the variety of activities arranged: There was definitely no chance of becomning bored of feeling that there was too much of one type of activity.
The tour was definitely great value for money, and we have already recommended it to a number of friends.

From Selcuk we learnt an incredible amount about the history of the country and about modern Turkey, which has convinced us that we must return there as soon as we possibly can!

Dear Mr. Duru,

My wife, Carolyn, and I recently returned form your tour of Classic Turkey (November 6 through 19, 1998) that was booked through Troy Tours in California. We had a wonderful time on our tour. Turkey is a fascinating country with beautiful and varied landscapes, interesting sights, delicious food, and warm, friendly people. While we have avoided packaged tours in the past because of the horror stories that we have heard from friends, your tour exceeded our expectations of enjoyment. The hotels were first rate, the tour bus was comfortable, and the itinerary afforded us an excellent view of the richness of the Turkish culture.

Our tour was particularly enhanced by our dedicated guide, Mr. Selçuk Sebilcioglu and conscientious driver, Ergoyan. It was quite apparent to everyone on the tour that Mr. Sebilcioglu has an in-depth knowledge of Turkish history, culture, and everyday life. Our inquisitive group was constantly bombarding him with questions about Turkey and he was always able to respond in a knowledge, direct manner. He went out of his way to make this a pleasurable trip for the entire group. He arranged dinners and extra events that were not part of the tour package; he made sure that everyone know the meeting times and places; he remained pleasant, friendly, and attentive. During our tour, we met some people who were one day ahead of us on the same package. They were not very pleased with the treatment they were receiving from their guide. As far as I know, everyone on our tour was totally satisfied with every aspect of the tour. Our only complaint is that we would have liked better weather when we went to Ephesus; but what can you expect when you book a tour in mid-November.

We have recommended your tour to many of our friends who have viewed our many photos and 3 hour video. If any of them decide to take one of your tours, I hope they will be as fortunate as my wife and I were to have the excellent services of Mr. Sebilcioglu and our driver Ergoyan (Eddie, as we called him).

Sincerely,

Herb Kaplan

As tourleaders of a Dutch organisation we travelled through Turkey with a group of most elderly people. Mr. Sebilcioglu was our guide. He did his job in a most splendid way. He knows a lot about his country and is capable to make people enthousiastic about the country he loves so much. He made good contacts with all the participants and was easy to work with for us, as tourleaders. All people of our group liked him very much. We would very much like to travel with him again but our company prefers to have Dutch speaking guides and that's why we only have been able to travel with Mr. Sebilcioglu once but we've seen each other several times and are still in mail-contact.

Dear Sir,

We wish to express our appreciation of your tour guide, Mr. Selcuk Sebilcioglu, on our tour of Turkey last November 7-18. We were part of a 24 member group traveling from California, USA, arranged by Troy Tours of Los Angeles.

We had a wonderful time and everything went smoothly, thanks to Selcuk. He was the perfect host, attending to our needs, educating us on the history and customs of Turkey, keeping us on schedule, and showing us a very good time.

As you may know, America is a land of mixed races and ethnicities and although we were all Californians, we were a very mixed group of individuals and couples, from different backgrounds, religions, birthplaces, lifestylyes and ages. However, I think I can speak for most of us by saying that we all felt like one big happy family thanks to Selcuk whom I felt became our close friend and family member.

We don't think we can say enough good things about Selcuk. We highly recommend him for any position in the tourism trade involving future guests to your country. He is a fine gentleman, we hope to meet again some time.

Sincerely,
J. Charles and Evi Binder

During our second time in Turkey (2 weeks ago) we had a possibility to be in Istanbul. Our problem was that we can not be longer than 2 days. In this case we looked for a good and professional tourist office and guide. We had very big luck - because on our way we found Mr. Sebilcioglu Selcuk from your office. This man is very professional guide. He is a very good preparing to do this job - so we spent excelent time in Istanbul and we saw many historical, famous and important places. We are very deeply recommend this gentleman for any others tourists and to your best guides team.

Now to the point:  Needless to say our tour (Ankara-Kappadokia- Antalya- Izmir-Const...oops Istanbul, has been unforgetable both to Eileen and myself.  STRONG POINT: NATURE - anything from impressive to exciting.  STRONGER POINT: LAND - unique historical background. STRONGEST POINT: PEOPLE  - hospitable and real, not pre-fabricated touristically yet.

The only "snag"  was you as our guide: too good for us as a group!  Keep it that way and I don't know whether you' ll ever "beat" the Greeks in fuss and noise but you'll certainly win their hearts if you wish it...  Jokes apart now, I am sure you will carry on successfully and I believe you deserve it.

Cheers from both of us.

Dear Selcuk, This is a long overdue e.mail to thank you personally for making our visit to Turkey so enjoyable. Before we left England, we knew that we would see a lot of beautiful treasures as part of the culture of Turkey. Your infinite knowledge about your country for all its aspects, your patience, your charismatic manner, have made our stay very special . We have come home, our head full of fantastic memories …thank you . We saw William’s photos on screen and most of them are an excellent reminder of our trip. I have collected mine from the photographer on Tuesday but we have not had the time to look at them yet (10 films !! ). It will be a treat for this evening when William returns from work . I hope your tour to Amsterdam went well and that your Turkish group was as appreciative as we have been. Any luck yet with your flat hunting? When you come to London, we would like to meet you and, if you have the time, show you some English treasures. We live along the Thames, 30 minutes walking distance on the towpath to Hampton Court Palace…worth a visit !! Please, keep in touch.

With best wishes,

Jacqueline and William

Dear Sir/Madam

Re: Holiday in Turkey (16 -23 October 05)

We are writing to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent holiday in Turkey. In particular, we would like to commend our guide (Mr) Selcuk Sebilicioglu. Selcuk is a quite outstanding guide with an amazing knowledge of his country’s history and cultural heritage. He is a terrific communicator with a real skill in explaining complex ideas clearly, succinctly and with humour. In addition, he was extremely patient, kind and helpful to everyone throughout our trip. We cannot wait to return to Turkey and are already busily buying books to improve our knowledge of this fascinating country. We would strongly recommend Selcuk to you as a guide for any future trips that you organise in Turkey.

Yours faithfully
